The Inesis brand was created in 1998. In the early days, the brand offered both golf and racket sports equipment. Who knows, you might still have an old Inesis badminton racket buried in your garage!
In 2005, with the creation of Artengo for racket sports, Inesis shifted its focus solely onto golf. A need for a focus on the golf side of the brand quickly came to light, along with the need to create a dedicated design site. That is how, in 2009, in Marcq-en-Baroeul which sits just outside of Lille (France), Inesis Golf Park came to be. Follow the guide!
This is what we call the “sea view”. From the large table where the team can be found hard at work, there's a direct view from the large bay windows over the fairway. This is the perfect spot for watching the golfers, understanding their needs, and coming up with the products that they'll need.
Once the brief has been set, our team of engineers and designers shut themselves away in the Creative Studio. A hybrid spot dedicated to creativity in all of its forms.
Here is where the designer team brainstorm the concepts of tomorrow, sketching out the initial outlines for future products.
Here is where we produce, assemble, dissemble, test, and tweak. We have all the tools needed to transform an object from a digital concept to a physical object. This is the revolution that is 3D printing.
We have all the machines and equipment needed to test, develop and perfect our golf clubs.
No need to go far to test out products. In fact, here, you just need to open a door to access the covered practice zone, which is an impressive 2000 m2 bubble. Then, there are just a few dozen metres to cover to start swinging outside, on the 270-metre practice zone. We also have a 9-hole course and 6 pitch & putt holes for when we want to get our products out in the field (or rather, on the course). Finally, the simulator has a Foresight GCquad, and we also have a Trackman for collecting the data we need.
Once the product is finished, we prepare its communication materials. To boost efficiency, we've installed a photo studio in our premises. There, we shoot all of the products from the new collections that you'll find on our websites or on social media.
Across 250m2, you can find all products from the Inesis range. This concept store lets us test out merchandising approaches which will then be deployed in Decathlon stores around the world.
