We're taking you to discover b'Twin Village in Lille (France). This is where out specially-trained technicians assemble the 900 irons. Here, we've photographed the main steps towards finalising a full set, just for you!
To assemble a 900 set, the operators will head to our stock to find 6-head components: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW. They visually inspect the components to make sure there are no eventual defects. If there are any defects spotted, the incriminated head is put to one side.
There are 10 variants of shafts for the 900 series: Recoil 4
After having selected the right shafts, they're cut to the right length and then prepared for bonding.
A pneumatic cylinder pushes the shaft into the hosel of each top of its virole, in order to position it on the shaft in its final positioning after bonding.
We use an epoxy glue, supplied by our partner 3M, to bond the head onto the shaft.
After a 24-hour drying period, each head undergoes a twist test to make sure that the bonding is perfectly assured.
In order to get the perfect junction with the head, the virole is lightly sanded with a fine abrasive, then it’s polished.
It's now time for our technicians to install the grip on each iron. The perfect alignment is obtained by using laser technology.
There you have it - your 900 set is now ready for shipment! It's shipped straight from the factory to the end customer's home
