The range of Inesis putters will be completely revised at the beginning of 2021. Three new models are being released: The Fat Blade, the Half-Moon and the Mallet. They are aimed at intermediate players (handicap between 30 and 15) and advanced players (handicap less than 15).
We were lucky enough to be able to design a range of 3 putters at the same time. Consequently, all the models are perfectly coherent, in terms of the style, and technically too.
They were designed with great care and in keeping with the Inesis design codes: athletic and elegant. In other words, a thoroughbred line, highlighted by the purity of the materials. We opted for the nickel/chrome finish of the 500 and 900 irons to achieve perfect harmony in your bag.
We used leading-edge production techniques, such as micro-machining, which achieves a new standard of quality.
Today the Nickel Chrome plating has become our trademark. By blending elegance and quality, we haven’t had to make any compromises. You’ll find this same finish on all our intermediate (500) and advanced (900) sets of clubs.
And the Mallet has a darker area incorporated into its structure and this contrast makes it possible for us to further refine the putter visually.
For the alignment, we sought inspiration in areas demanding extreme precision. We have done our best to ensure that all players find it easy to make alignment accurately.
When it comes to design, we like the interplay of textures and this is why we use machining techniques on our putters to obtain the micro-grooves known as “micro-milling”.
Our putters are composed of 3 parts: the body which is in SS 304 steel and CNC machining to ensure precise lines and accurate weights.
The inner part of the insert is made of TPU for the feel and the face of the insert is made from machined steel for sonority and quality of the ball roll.
We decided to develop an insert on the new putters. This means that we get the very best in feel and sonority.
Technically, the body of the putter is hollowed out and perforated and then we insert a semi-rigid TPU piece, capped with a metallic insert. And then it is entirely adjusted to the nearest tenth of a millimetre. The grooves on the face are machined in an arc for better ball roll.
This 100% rubber grip was designed for maximum comfort.
We chose a “pistol” shape to optimise hand position on the grip.
Studies show that with a “Pistol” style grip, the chances of putting the ball into the hole are higher. Why go without?
Like all putter heads, the design had to be "Athletic & Elegant". We combined two textures for added comfort and durability. The upper part is smooth, apart from the thumb placement area. The lower part is machined for more grip.
The navy blue and black are traditional colours designed to go with a maximum number of bits of gear in your bag.
On the size 1 (33 inches) putters, the cover is light grey. On size 2 (34 inches), it is dark grey so that you can identify the putter size at a glance.
We designed this range to help you choose the right putter. We questioned over 100 golfers. We realised that three quarters of them told us that it is difficult to choose a putter. So we developed up with a quick, simple and effective method for choosing.
Height is the first criterion to take into consideration when choosing the right putter for you. We studied arms and found that people can be short with long arms and tall with short arms. And be the same height but need different length putters. It is the distance between the ground and your hands which determines the length of your putter. We identified 2 putter lengths (33 and 34 inches) that meet the needs of 90% of golfers.
The right-sized putter is essential because it means that the head will be nice and straight in front of the ball for improved distance and direction control.
You’ve got the right-sized putter for your height. You’ve done that bit. When you position yourself in front of the ball, you will stand more or less close to the ball. It’s barely noticeable, a mere 2 or 3 cm at most. In fact, you’ll try to align your eye with the ball to aim correctly. But our brain plays tricks on us and the dominant eye may not necessarily be strictly vertical to the ball.
If your dominant eye is perfectly aligned with the ball, you will automatically have a putting motion that is aligned.
Putter balance is the orientation of the club face when it is balanced on its shaft.
If the face is perfectly horizontal, the putter is "Face-balanced". It is naturally more perpendicular to the putting line and therefore corresponds with the aligned putting motion.
If the face points towards the ground at a 30° angle to the horizontal, the putter is "Toe hang 30°". This type of balance is suitable for players who putt in an arc.
The 2021 putter range includes the following:
The three putter models will be available in two sizes: right-handed and left-handed in spring 2021, for €100 each.
