Play in a skirt. Golf is one of the sports you can play in a skirt. And playing in a skirt is a pleasant experience. It makes you feel comfortable, feminine and elegant. We wanted the WW500 skirt to be the best skirt for playing golf in warm weather (at temperatures >20°C).
We designed the cut of this skirt to look most elegant. Most importantly, the right cut means the right length. Our WW500 skirt is designed for playing golf. Therefore, we chose a length and a straight cut that feel comfortable on the golf course, even when you have to kneel down to line up your putt, place a tee or pick up your ball. The high fitted waist is also designed for greater comfort.
The classic simple straight cut allows every generation of female golfers to wear this skirt
The WW500 skirt features four pockets. Two at the front and two at the back. They are designed to keep your golf card, pitch lifter, tees, and anything else you need to keep within easy reach during a round of golf. These pockets remain very discreet and flat thanks to the attractive and rounded top-stitch.
The WW500 skirt conceals some surprises. It includes a shorty that is very pleasant in hot weather. You can feel confident under any circumstances and remain firmly concentrated on your game.
The WW500 skirt is made of a Jersey material containing 81% recycled polyester and 19% elastane. This component adds a sporty dimension and offers incomparable comfort, thanks to its natural elasticity, and the thickness (240 g/m2) is sufficient to remain perfectly opaque.
The WW500 skirt is eco-designed. At Decathlon, we claim that a product is eco-designed when recycled polyester represents more than 70% of its weight. By recycling plastic bottles or clothing to produce our polyester, we reduce the use of oil-derived resources, while preserving the material’s quality of use during your activities.
Plastic bottles are washed and then shredded. The shredded plastic is then heated until it forms a sort of paste. An extrusion screw is then used to transform this paste into a filament. The filament is then wound around a reel. This is how we produce our recycled polyester yarn!
