Club care
Club head
storage:
Store your clubs somewhere dry!
Wood and putter
Protect the heads with a club glove to prevent damage and avoid any loss of efficiency to the insert.
Care:
Check that the grooves are always clean!
Wipe them with a towel or even on the grass before each shot.
This will ensure maximum distance control and feel.
Putter
In damp weather, remember to wipe the club face:
1- Remove any grass or residues that might obstruct the putter/ball contact
2- Try to avoid damp setting in to preserve the insert in the best conditions.
Shafts
storage
Steel
After playing in the rain, dry your clubs somewhere warm, with the grip on the floor or wipe the shafts with a dry towel!
This will prevent water remaining in the hosel and starting rust, which will lead to breaking of the shaft.
Graphite
Use a bag with full length dividers that go all the way to the bottom.
This avoids repeated knocks when you return clubs to the bag, which weakens the shafts,
Please note: If you use tubes to protect your clubs in the bag, check that they are special graphite shaft tubes (with protections).
Grips
Care:
Clean your grips with soapy water and a small brush (such as a tooth or nail brush). This guarantees optimum grip and freshens them up nicely
After playing in bad weather, wipe your grips dry to keep them in good condition and prevent unpleasant odours.
