These clubs are mostly used on approach shots and in the bunker. They give a short, high shot.

There are three types:

52° SANDWEDGE: Reduces the gap between PW and SW.

56° SANDWEDGE: Standard opening, for bunker and approach shots

60° LOB WEDGE: These irons lift the ball high up so that it doesn't roll much on landing.

The black finish on some wedges prevents sunlight being reflected off the face, which can distract the golfer.
