The club head

• Storage

Store your clubs somewhere dry!

Wood and putter
Protect the heads with a club glove to prevent damage and avoid any loss of efficiency to the insert.

• Care:

Check that the grooves are always clean.
Wipe them with a towel or even on the grass after each shot.
This will ensure maximum distance control and feel:

Putter
In damp weather, remember to wipe the club face.
1- Remove any grass or residues that might obstruct the putter/ball contact
2- Try to avoid damp setting in to preserve the insert in the best conditions.

The shafts

• Storage

Steel
After playing in the rain, dry your clubs somewhere warm, with the grip on the floor or wipe the shafts with a dry towel.
This will prevent water remaining in the hosel and starting rust, which will lead to breaking of the shaft.

Graphite
Use a bag with full length dividers that go all the way to the bottom.
This avoids repeated knocks when you return clubs to the bag, which weakens the shafts,
Please note: if you use tubes to protect your clubs in the bag, check that they are special graphite shaft tubes (with protections).

The grips

• Care:

Clean your grips with soapy water and a small brush (such as a tooth or nail brush). This guarantees optimum grip and freshens them up nicely.

After playing in bad weather, wipe your grips dry to keep them in good condition and prevent unpleasant odours.

care balls
 The balls

• storage :

Balls should be stored away from heat, ideally at room temperature, to ensure they last well. Keep them in normal humidity conditions.
Store them clean: dirt can build up on the balls and can be difficult to remove, and affects their performance.

• Care:

Clean your golf ball as often as possible, ideally between each shot (tee-off and before putting).

Please note: Inspect your golf ball to check it is in good condition, and to ensure good flight and precision.

shoes golf care
 The shoes

• storage:

Store your shoes somewhere dry to ensure the components stay in good condition.

Don't leave your shoes where heat levels can become excessive (in a car in the sun, for example), as this can damage your shoes and reduce their lifetime.

• care:

Never leave them on a radiator and never dry them using an electrical dryer. This can damage the shoe components.

Don't use any polish or waterproofing sprays as these may damage the built-in membranes.
Your shoes will ensure optimum waterproofing and moisture management.

Check your spikes frequently!
Worn spikes can reduce your stability when playing. Also, if the spikes are very worn down they will be difficult to change (the fittings on each spike will be difficult to access).

Tip: to soak up moisture from your shoes, stuff newspaper inside them and leave them for a few hours: the paper absorbs most of the damp.

gloves golf care
 The gloves

• storage:

After use, store your gloves somewhere dry, ideally flat and in their case!
This will prevent the development of unpleasant odours. A damp glove squashed up in a ball and left in a bag may develop an unpleasant odour, and the glove materials may lose their softness.

• care:

Synthetic gloves
Wash them in cold water without soap then dry them flat.

For breathability: Take off your gloves once your ball is on the green and putt barehanded to boost feel which is so important for putting.

 The rainwear

• storage:

Keep rainwear somewhere dry, at room temperature.

• care:

After using your rainwear garments, leave them to dry on a hanger at room temperature with no excess heat, as this may damage the technical components (membrane, micro-fibre, etc.).

Don't leave your rainwear all squashed up in your bag or your car (not laid out), as this can lead to the development of unpleasant odours and can shorten the life time of your rainwear garments.

Wash your rainwear regularly to ensure efficiency: waterproof and breathable garments are more effective when clean.
